Who we are

East Sussex Dungeon is a private studio in East Sussex, run as a sole trader business. We are responsible for the personal information you give us. For anything about your data, email eastsussexdungeon@gmail.com.

What we collect

When you send a booking request or enquiry, we collect your name, email address, preferred date and anything you choose to write in your message. Please only tell us what we need to arrange your visit.

Why we use it, and our legal basis

• To reply to you and arrange your booking. This is necessary to take steps at your request before a booking.
• Your message may include details about your sex life or interests. That is sensitive information. We only use it to respond to your request, with the consent you give by ticking the box on the form. You can withdraw your consent at any time by emailing us.
• To keep business and tax records, which the law requires.

We never sell your information, share it for marketing or send you newsletters.

Who else handles it

• Hostinger hosts this website and stores form submissions.
• Google provides our email and calendar.

Both act only on our instructions. They may store data outside the UK. Where they do, they use safeguards recognised under UK law.

How long we keep it

• Enquiries that do not lead to a booking are deleted within 3 months.
• Messages and personal preferences are deleted within 3 months of your visit.
• The basic booking record (name, date and amount paid) is kept for 5 years after the 31 January tax return deadline for that year, as HMRC requires.

Cookies and similar technology

When you click Enter on the 18+ screen, your browser stores a small note so you are not asked again for 30 days. It stays on your device. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies, or analytics.

Your rights

You can ask us to give you a copy of your information, correct it, delete it, restrict how we use it, or move it to another service. You also have the right to object to how we use your information.

To use any of these rights, email eastsussexdungeon@gmail.com. We will reply within one month.

Adults only

This website and our services are for adults aged 18 and over. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.

Complaints

If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information, please tell us first. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk/make-a-complaint.
